Returns, refunds and order disputes
How buyer return requests work on Daily Minimart in Singapore, without limiting mandatory consumer rights.
Your legal rights
This policy does not replace or reduce rights provided by applicable consumer law. In Singapore, the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act and statutory remedies for goods that do not conform to contract may apply. A no-return statement, seller decision, or platform request period cannot remove a right that the law makes mandatory. Whether a statutory remedy applies depends on the facts and the seller’s legal status.
Platform request window
For orders in Singapore, the current configured platform window is 14 days from the date the seller records the order as delivered. The order page will allow a buyer to submit a request during that window for eligible delivered items and remaining quantities. This is a platform workflow, not a statement that all legal claims expire after that period; contact the seller and seek advice promptly if the item is faulty, misdescribed, unsafe, or otherwise raises a legal issue.
How to request a return
Sign in, open Orders, choose the delivered order and item, select the quantity, and describe the reason accurately. Keep photos, listing details, messages, delivery records and receipts. The request is sent to the seller; submitting it does not itself approve a return or refund. Do not send an item back until the seller confirms the return address, method and any safe packaging instructions, unless applicable law requires a different process.
Review, return shipping and refund
The seller reviews and responds to the request. The current site lets the seller approve or reject a request and record a manual refund; the site does not automatically arrange collection, inspect the goods, or send a refund. The seller and buyer should agree who pays return shipping and how the item will be returned, subject to applicable law. Where money was collected directly by the seller, the seller must arrange any agreed or legally required refund. For a PayPal-paid order, contact the seller and follow PayPal’s applicable process; the platform’s manual status record is not proof that funds have reached you.
Item condition and exceptions
Describe the item and reason honestly, preserve the item and packaging while a request is reviewed, and do not alter or dispose of an item that may need inspection. A change-of-mind return may depend on the seller’s stated terms and applicable law. Faulty, unsafe, misrepresented or non-conforming goods may have separate statutory remedies. Nothing here guarantees acceptance of every request or authorises a seller to refuse a remedy required by law.
Disputes and escalation
Contact the seller through the order or message system and keep copies of all communications. If unresolved, contact the operator at [insert monitored support contact] and provide the order number and relevant evidence. The platform can review its records and enforce site rules but is not a substitute for a court, the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE), the Small Claims Tribunals, or another competent body. Payment-provider disputes should also be raised with the relevant provider within its deadlines.
